I just returned from a long weekend in Colorado Springs, visiting my maternal grandparents and helping move some stuff out of the ancestral home and into the assisted living community where they’ve moved. It was nice to spend time with my mother and sisters on our old stomping grounds, and to see the house where I have so many childhood memories, but also sad to see it substantively emptied and facing sale.
I returned from Rome a week ago last Friday. I’ve been busy with work non-stop since then, so the detailed debrief post will have to wait until later this weekend.
